Mrs. Dawn Maguire

Entering into my 10th year of teaching,  I am a  4-year-old preschool teacher at CPS.   I grew up in Cartersville, graduated from Cartersville High School, and very proud to call myself a Purple Hurricane.   After graduating from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management,  I started working full-time in my family owned company Southern Color Company.   As a 2nd career in life,  I started working in the Cartersville City School System as a Substitute Teacher.  I realized after working with such awesome kids throughout the system,  I wanted to become a full-time Educator.  During this time, I returned to school where I received my Master's Degree in Early Education and Special Education.   After 7 years of working in the school system, God Blessed me with a permanent teaching position working with special needs students.  My favorite color is obviously purple.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because there are no gifts only food! Ireland and New Zealand are 2 places I would love to visit someday.

 My husband Sean and I have 3 children, Mickey, Tracey ,Dee, son-in-law Miller, and our first grandchild Lawson Heath that is due Thanksgiving.
