Mrs. Jenifer Fuqua

   My name is Jenifer Fuqua and I am excited about beginning another great year in Cartersville! My husband graduated from Cartersville and when I got married and I moved to Cartersville, I knew immediately I wanted to be a purple hurricane! I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful Cartersville Canes community. There is no community like it! 

   I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. This will be my 18th year teaching and my 10th year teaching in Cartersville. I previously taught 8 years at CES. There, I mostly taught 5th grade, and spent 2 years teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Math EIP. This will be my second year teaching only 3rd grade math EIP here at CPS. I have previously taught first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade students. My favorite subject to teach is math. I love teaching students fun games to practice math skills and singing silly math songs to get students excited about math. We have such a blast learning math in my classroom! 

   I absolutely love teaching kids! I am an encourager and motivator at heart. I work hard to create a welcoming and positive environment where it's okay to make mistakes, because mistakes help us grow and learn. Students will always have a safe and fun place to learn in my classroom. My goal is to help students develop a growth mindset and instill confidence as students work towards meeting their goals and mastering new skills. My hope is to empower students with the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful throughout their school career and beyond.

I am so excited about teaching 3rd grade math EIP this year. I can't wait to see how much our students will learn and grow. I am looking forward to an amazing year here at CPS!
