Mrs. MaryBeth Popham
My name is MaryBeth Popham, and I am thrilled to be a Cartersville Purple Hurricane!
I grew up in Austell, Georgia, located in Cobb County. I graduated from South Cobb High School in 2000, and earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University in 2005.
I began my teaching career in August 2006 at Cartersville Elementary. After a few years of teaching, I earned my Masters of Education Degree from American College of Education. Over the past 12 years, I have had the privilege of teaching grades kindergarten through fifth in a few fantastic elementary schools located in North Dakota, North Carolina, and Colorado. However, I was privileged to join the CPS staff in August 2016 and I am thrilled to be part of the second grade team!
In addition to my love of teaching, my family is also very important to me. I’ve been happily married to my husband, Matt, since December 2004, and love doing life with him. He is the Children’s & Life Groups Pastor at Canton Church, and I am honored to serve along side him. We have two beautiful daughters, Hannah (10) and Hadley (7), and one handsome son, Harrison (3). They are each full of energy and tons of fun! We are so blessed to be their parents and we cherish every moment we have with them.
When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and being active. I also love watching college football - ROLL TIDE!- and hanging out with friends.
