Mrs. Lori Farmer

Hello,

I am Mrs. Lori Farmer, a dedicated and passionate teacher with over 25 years of experience. It is a pleasure to be a part of the third-grade team at Cartersville Primary School. Over the years, I have honed my skills in creating inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classrooms that encourage curiosity and foster a love of learning. My approach is student-centered, focusing on individual strengths and promoting a growth mindset. 

I received my undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of Southern Indiana, and I completed my master's degree in guidance and counseling at Murray State University. Since moving to Georgia, I have obtained a reading endorsement, a STEM endorsement, have training in the Orton-Gillingham approach for literacy instruction, and completed the Morphology Plus course from the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education.   

My husband of thirty years, Bryan, and I have three grown children; Alex, Grant, and Greyson.  When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, working in my yard, thrifting and reading on my front porch swing. 

Although I am not a new teacher, I love opportunities to learn and grow as an educator. My ongoing commitment to professional development ensures that I stay updated with the latest educational strategies and technologies. I truly love teaching and feel fortunate to get to do what I love every single day. I am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and growth with my incredible third-graders!
