Mrs. Melanie Paige

I have lived in Cartersville my entire life.  I am married to Ken Paige who serves as the Director of Construction/SPLOST projects for Cartersville School System.  We are the proud parents of two Cartersville Purple Hurricanes...Tanner and Carsyn, both graduates of Cartersville High School and Kennesaw State University.  I also have a future "Little Cane" grandson named Beck Bagwell.  

When I am not at school, you can find me working out at The Rock Fitness Center and/or HotWorx, and on Sundays I love being at Crosspoint City Church.  I also enjoy hiking, biking, and walking our local trails.

Prior to teaching, I worked in the banking industry for ten years.  My first degree was in Business Administration.  After having my own children, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher.  After earning my education degree, I taught third grade for ten years at Cartersville Elementary School.  When I transferred to CPS, I taught 2nd grade for 12 years.  I was honored to be named CPS "Teacher of the Year" in 2014.  I am so excited to continue my role as an Early Intervention Program (EIP) reading teacher.  Reading is one of my favorite hobbies and I want to instill that love into as many children as I can.
