Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University ESOL Endorsement
Ms. Jane McDonald
Hi there! My name is Jane (J.C.) McDonald, and I am so excited about teaching art this year at CPS. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and this will be my second year teaching at CPS. I am currently working on my Masters Degree through Western Governors University. I fell in love with CPS and the community surrounding it when I did my student teaching here in a kindergarten classroom. From the moment I walked through the doors I felt welcomed. I feel so blessed to be a part of CPS this year and feel so much support from the administrators, other staff members, and people in the community.
I grew up in Dalton, GA on my family's farm with my parents and two sisters. I also have a goldendoodle, Tilly. I got her during the pandemic and she has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I will never say no to spending time outdoors, shopping, or traveling. I have recently been playing pickleball, and it is lots of fun! On the weekends, I am usually doing wedding makeup at venues all around Georgia and surrounding states. I got into the business after teaching myself how to do makeup from watching YouTube videos in high school and have been doing it ever since. I am always up for an adventure and trying something new!
I am so excited about this year! I am so lucky to be able to teach art to all the awesome students of CPS. My hope is that they feel my classroom is a space where their imagination is sparked, their creativity is shining, and like they are a true artist! Art is for everyone, and I cannot wait to be colorful, fun, and messy (sometimes) with your little one! (:
GO CANES!!!
