Mrs. Ansley Choate
My name is Ansley Choate, and I am honored to have the priviledge of working with special needs children. I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and later received a masters degree from The University of West Georgia in the same field. I taught 2nd grade at Taylorsville Elementary for 8 years and loved every minute in the classroom. After giving birth to my second child, I decided to change hats from teacher to stay at home mom. I spent the next 14 years with my daughters, Claire and Juliana. Claire graduated from Cartersville High School in May and wasted no time becoming an official GA Bulldog! Juliana is beginning her junior year at Cartersville High School, and I look forward to the day that she becomes an official CLEMSON TIGER! My husband, Jay, and I are both natives of Cartersville and have been married for 22 years.
I returned to the classroom as a long-term substitute in special education. I fell in love with the children immediately! I decided then that this was my calling in life and became certified to teach in the field of special education.
This is my fifth year as the self-contained classroom teacher, and I absolutely love my job! I am grateful for the assistance of my wonderful paraprofessionals, La’Toya Bray and Caitlynn Curtis! My job would not be possible without them!
Thank you to all the parents who have entrusted me with your precious children! They are the highlight of my day, and I love them dearly!
