Mrs. Metta Whitton

My name is Mrs. Metta Whitton. I live in Cartersville with my husband Greg and our 2 boys, Connor (16 years old and a sophomore at Cartersville High School) and Landon (13 years old and in the seventh grade at Cartersville Middle School). We also have two Goldendoodles, Georgia and Bronx.

We love to travel across the United States, especially to National Parks. I grew up in Cartersville and graduated from Cartersville High School in 1998. Go Canes! For 11 years, I taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st. This is my second year as the Computer Science/STEAM Lab Teacher at Cartersville Primary School.

I am also the Assistant Cross Country Coach for Cartersville Middle School this year. #canesgofast

I am so excited for your child to visit our new CPS STEAM Lab!   I teach our first-graders and third-graders. I look forward to working with you and your child to have a fantastic year! In the STEAM Lab we build curious, creative, problem-solvers inspired by the wonders of science! Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen.
