Mrs. Tiffany Lightning

Welcome! I'm Tiffany Lightning, and I'm thrilled about another exciting school year ahead filled with learning and fun. A lifelong resident of Cartersville, I attended Cartersville City Schools myself. It's a true privilege to now teach in the same district that shaped my own values, and I'm eager to impart those values to the students I meet each day.

My educational journey includes a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Kennesaw State University, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Piedmont College, and a specialist degree in teacher leadership, also from Piedmont College.

I have 19 years of teaching experience at Cartersville City Schools, having taught pre-K, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. Five years ago, I transitioned to a Reading EIP position, and this year, I'm excited about working with 3rd grade students. My passion lies in fostering a love for reading and helping every child reach their full potential.

In my classroom, I uphold high expectations for both my students and myself. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where students feel confident and inspired to learn every day. I encourage curiosity and risk-taking, believing these qualities foster lifelong learning habits. I'm eager to embark on this journey with you and your students this year!
