Mrs. Michelle Cottongim

Welcome to Mrs. Cottongim's Website. I am very excited to be teaching Engineering and Technology this year! This is my 19th year teaching in Cartersville! I previously worked in P.E. at the elementary school and taught math at the middle school! I am looking forward to sharing my passion for Engineering and Technology with my students. I have a Bachelors Degree in Architectual Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University, now Kennesaw State, and a Masters Degree in Middle Grades Education from Berry College. I am also the Sponsor of our Women in STEM group at the Middle School and Co-Coach of the CMS Robotics Team.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, David, for 31 years. We have two daugters, Lindsey (26) and Laura (23). They are both graduates of Cartersville High School! Lindsey is a graduate of Kennesaw State University and lives with her husband, Mitch, here in Cartersville. Laura is also a graduate of Kennesaw State University and lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she works as an Industrial Engineer. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and friends, find new techy things to learn about, read, watch movies, and ride jet skis at the lake. I also love my church! And while I am there I sing in the Adult Choir, co-teach a ladies life group, and serve on our Ladies Ministry Team.
