Outside of school, Mrs. Karstensen is very involved in the Musical Theatre world as well. She loves to direct and choreograph wherever the shows take her. She has been the director of the Grand Theatre's Senior High Summer Music Theatre Camp show for 23 years now, and also has had the opportunity to serve as Music Director for the adult show at the Grand. She has a daughter, Jillian, who is in the 10th grade at CHS and they live in Cartersville with her husband, Gavin, and two cats, Luna Lovegood and Lexa. She is a fan of all things Harry Potter, musical theatre, too many TV shows to list, UGA, KSU, NASCAR and the Braves.
