Christie Milton

Hello! My name is Christie Milton. I was born and raised here in Cartersville, Georgia. I graduated from Woodland High School in 2003.  In 2008, I graduated from University of West Georgia with my Bachelors of Science in Mathematics; and in 2011, I graduated from Western Governors University with a Masters of Arts in Middle Grades Math.

I am starting my 16th year teaching, and it will be my fourth year at Cartersville Middle School. At the beginning of my teaching career, I was a Pre-K teacher at Sprayberry Academy. Prior to coming to Cartersville Middle School, I taught 9th grade math at Rockmart High School for six years. 

Fun facts about me. I love crafting and creating handmade items. Currently, my new hobby is sewing and making t-shirts. I am married to my wonderful husband, Devlin, of 11 years. We have a daughter, Jan'ya, and a little peekapoo, Sammy. 

Since becoming a teacher, I have always dreamed of working, in my community, and touching the lives of many children. Becoming a purple hurricane allows me to live my dream every day. I am proud to say I'm glad to be home, and I am ecstatic about being a PURPLE HURRICANE!
