Mrs. Tequila Mitchell

I am excited to be a part of the Canes family!  I grew up in Rome, GA, but I have lived in Cartersville for the last 13 years. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2007 from Shorter College and my Master's Degree from Shorter University in 2012.  I love to learn and grow, so I continually seek out opportunities to soak up knowledge through additional studies and reading lots of books!  I am certified to teach Middle Grades English Language Arts and Middle Grades Social Sciences.  This will be my ninth year teaching English Language Arts and my third year teaching eighth-grade English.  

I love spending time with my family and looking at the world through their eyes.  As a family, we enjoy most sports, especially Friday night football, track and softball.  It is never a dull moment, and I would not change it for the world!  During our downtime, we enjoy long walks, playing Uno, and just talking about life.
