I am so excited to be apart of the Canes family!  I grew up in Rome, GA, but I have lived in Cartersville for the last eight years. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2007 from Shorter College and my Master's Degree from Shorter University in 2012.  I love to learn and grow so I continually seek out opportunities to soak up knowledge through additional studies and reading lots of books!  I am cerfified to teach Middle Grades English Language Arts and Middle Grades Social Sciences.  This will be my fourth year teaching sixth grade ELA.

My husband and I have four children, Eathan, Morgan, Kelson, and Alyson.  As a family, we enjoy Friday night football, Saturday morning travel ball, competitive gynmastics, and basketball thrown in!  It is never a dull moment, but I would not change it for the world!  During our down time, we enjoy long walks and just talking about life.
