Cheyanne Bagwell

      My name is Cheyanne Bagwell. I am married to Brack Bagwell, and we have a four-year-old little boy. We are members of Cartersville First Baptist Church where we serve in the Nest Ministry each week. We love being a part of the Canes Family. In my free time, I love being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. I also love sports, and I am very competitive. I graduated from Shorter University with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. Math is my passion, but that was not always true. I actually struggled with math as an elementary and middle school student. I had many tutoring sessions that included tears, but one day, math became my strength. One of my greatest joys is watching a student come to love learning as much as I do, especially in the math classroom. I have taught middle school math for eight years. One of my callings as a teacher is to inspire others and help them achieve their goals, whatever they may be. The Canes District Mission is, "To inspire all students to build the skills and confidence to find their passions and achieve their goals." So, I chose to become a Purple Hurricane because I know that I will have the opportunity to help students achieve their goals in life while also helping strengthen our community. I believe that everyone has a purpose, and this is something that I tell my students daily. Our students are the future, and I look forward to serving with the goal to create a class of CHAMPION Canes.
