Christy Gollhofer

Hi!  I'm Mrs. Gollhofer! I am thrilled you will be in my class this year.  This is my 20th year of teaching.  I am passionate about teaching and Math is my FAV.  I enjoy using technology as much as I can.  I LOVE teaching middle school students. We will learn so many cool things this year. 

I also think it is very important to work together, as a classroom family.  We will spend a lot of time together so it's important to treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion.  I know that each of you have a different brain, which means you think and learn differently.  It is my job as your teacher to help you grow as a learner and as a person of good character.  

Want to know a little about me?  When I'm not at school, you can find me working out, cheering on my kids or snuggling my 5 month old granddaughter.  I love all sports, reading, and my fur-babies.  I have three children, Peyton, Kyle and my son-in-law, Austin.  Peyton graduated from Ball State University in 2019, where she played tennis and received her degree in Exercise Science.  Kyle graduated from Woodland High School in 2019.  He wrestles for the University of Northern Iowa and is majoring in medicine.  Cool fact, UNI and the Hurricanes have the same school colors.  I have been married for 31 years to my husband, who was a Cartersville High School graduate.   I also have 4 fur-babies, Casper, Olive and Nike are my sweet cats and Max is our precious German Shepherd.    

I can't wait to see how our year of excellence unfolds.  The 2022-2023 school year is full of promise and opportunity.  I challenge you to set some dreams that will stretch your limits.  It only takes one person's bold actions to drastically change the world.  To borrow from my teacher friend, "My students are my WHY!"
