Mr. Joey Shiflett

My name is Joey Shiflett, and I am excited about starting my second year as a Cartersville Hurricane! I am a graduate of Pepperell High School where I participated in football, basketball, and baseball. After high school, I attended Jacksonville State University on a baseball scholarship. I spent 5 years, after college, working in the business world. I decided to become a teacher and started teaching Math at Pepperell Middle School. After spending 9 years at Pepperell, I taught Math at Calhoun Middle School for 5 years. 

I will be teaching 8th grade math here at CMS. My goal, as a teacher, is to teach life lessons that students can carry on with them for the rest of their lives.
