Mrs. Kailah Dempsey

     Welcome to 8th grade! This is my fifth year teaching at Cartersville Middle School, and I am beyond excited! The past 4 years, I have taught 6th grade math here at CMS (as Ms.Guffey). This year, I will be teaching 8th Grade Math and Algebra 1.I am so excited to see previous students and meet new ones!  As a teacher, I believe it is very important to make an impact in a student's life while giving them the tools to be successful in their academics. I am also the head  cheer coach at CMS and I coach JV and Game Day Cheer at CHS. GO CANES!

       I am recently married to my husband, Kyle Dempsey, and we both live in Cartersville. I graduated from Adairsville High School in 2016. During my high school years, I spent some time working at the Boys and Girls Club in Cartersville! After high school, I attended The University of West Georgia, where I was an active member of the largest sorority in America, Chi Omega. I completed my Gifted Endorsement in 2021, and I completed my Masters degree in 2022. I just graduated with my Specialist degree this summer! 

      I think it is essential that my classroom feels like a community where everyone feels accepted, respected, and capable of achieving success. I am excited about this school year and getting to know all my students!
