Mrs. Christy Gollhofer

Hello,

I am Christy Gollhofer, wife of a CHS graduate, Rob Gollhofer, and mom to two amazing children, a son-in-law, and a granddaughter. I have been in education for my entire professional career of 21 years. Teaching and working with young minds has always been my passion. I began my journey in 2003, teaching middle school Science, Social Studies, and Math. Those early years in middle school were incredibly formative, as I discovered the profound impact a dedicated teacher can have on students during such a critical developmental period.

After several years at the middle school level, I transitioned to high school, where I taught Algebra 1. This shift allowed me to develop new teaching strategies tailored to older students, helping them to achieve success in a subject that many find challenging. Teaching high school students was a rewarding experience, as it provided me with the opportunity to prepare them for their next steps in education and life.

In 2019, I was excited to join the Cartersville City School System at Cartersville Middle School (CMS). Over the past five years, I have embraced my role as a math teacher and proudly served as a Purple Hurricane. My time at CMS has been filled with memorable moments and significant achievements, both for my students and myself. Being part of such a supportive and dynamic school community has been a true highlight of my career.

I am now extremely excited to continue my educational adventure in a new capacity at Cartersville Middle School, as an Assistant Administrator. This role will allow me to support our dedicated teachers, engage with parents, and work closely with our talented students and the broader community. I am eager to contribute to the continued success and positive environment at CMS.

I look forward to collaborating with our amazing staff at CMS, parents, students, and the community to create a nurturing and inspiring educational experience for all. Together, we can achieve great things and ensure that every student at CMS has the opportunity to thrive.

Go Canes!
