As we head into 2021, many questions begin to arise regarding end of school year events, like the Junior/Senior Prom. Our goal at CHS is to make prom a fun and memorable event, and we also want everyone to feel both comfortable and safe, and this year, that means hosting our event outside and with masks as a requirement. To clear up any confusion, we would like to clarify some questions regarding the 2021 Cartersville High School Prom.
Prom will be held in the courtyard at CHS on May 15, beginning at 7 and ending at 11. Senior Walk will be held at 7:30, as it has been in previous years, although parents and outside guests will not be allowed. We will live stream the walk and also provide a video link on the CHS website.
Prom tickets will be $50 per single ticket. Tickets will be sold entirely online this year. Prom tickets are sold only to students classified as either JUNIORS or SENIORS. Underclassmen are welcome as dates. Deadline to buy tickets is May 7th.
Also, in an effort for all of information for the evening to be accurate and on file, those bringing a date who is not a CHS student will need to fill out a form and provide a copy of identification of the student BEFORE PROM. This information is specificized clearly when you purchase a ticket, and it is crucial you pay attention to this so that both you and your date can attend. All prom attendees must be at least freshman in high school, but no dates may be above the age of 20.
