Ms. Sarah Boy
I am a native of Macon, Georgia and moved to Cartersville to teach at CHS. I am beginning my 17th year in education and my 12th year in Cartersville City Schools. I am also the Social Studies Instructional Supervisor. I have a BA in Political Science from Samford University, a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Georgia College and State University and an Education Specialist Degree with a concentration in Social Science Education from Kennesaw State University.
My schedule is as follows:
Fall Semester
First Block: AP Macroeconomics
Second Block: Planning
Third Block: American Government/American Government (9 week courses)
Fourth Block: Personal Finance and Economics/American Government
Spring:
First Block: AP Macroeconomics
Second Block: Planning

Fourth Block: U.S. History
I am also one of the graduation coordinators for CHS and one of the sponsors of the Engage Club.
The Engage Club is a student organization of the Georgia Center for Civic Engagement and helps teach students the importance of civic involvement in their communities. We participate in community service projects, Model State Legislature (Youth Assembly) and Model UN (GUNA). In the past five years, the CHS Engage Club has won numerous awards at Youth Assembly (Best Bill, Best Legal Brief, several committee chairmen, and the 76th and 78th Youth Governors) as well as at GUNA (Outstanding Statesmen).
