Canes Vision/Skills
  • This pathway highlights the power of collaboration, technical expertise, and boundless creativity. Students gain hands-on experience operating cameras, editing with industry-standard software, and managing live productions. In AVTF 2, students take the spotlight with The Hurricane—our engaging show that features entertainment, student life, and announcements. As they advance to AVTF 3, they dive into Hurricane Nation, an exciting program dedicated to covering all things sports at Cartersville High School.

Each Fall, the Canes Vision team runs the video board and live streams Cartersville High’s home football games, ensuring fans don’t miss a moment of the action. From instant replays to hype videos, our students deliver a professional game-day experience. As the holidays approach, the AVTF program takes its talents to the heart of the community by live-streaming the annual Christmas Parade in downtown Cartersville. Families near and far can enjoy the festive celebration, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our students.

SkillsUSA at Cartersville High School provides students with the opportunity to develop leadership, technical, and professional skills for success in their chosen career pathways. The chapter is actively involved in fostering collaboration and creativity among its members through competitions, workshops, field trips and community service initiatives. SkillsUSA is open to any student at Cartersville High School. Please see Coach Putnam in room V103 and visit https://www.skillsusageorgia.org/ for more information.
