My name is Mindy Surrett. I am married to Randy Surrett, and I have four children (John, Hannah, Matthew, and Luke). I have taught in many different places, including Zaire, Africa, and Daejeon, South Korea. I have taught at Cartersville High School for the majority of my career. I teach Advanced Placement Calculus AB/BC, Honors Precalculus, and Precalculus.
I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Education (BSEd) from the University of Georgia in 1989. I received my Master's Degree in Education (MSEd) from Kennesaw State University in 1992. I received my Specialist Degree in Education (EdS) from the University of West Georgia in 2001.
Along with being a math teacher, I am the Mu Alpha Theta sponsor, Senior Class sponsor, and Math team sponsor. I am also the Advanced Academic Coordinator, which involves coordinating AP courses and exams, the Gifted Program, and the Governor's Honors Program.
I communicate with students and parents (text messages, phone calls, and emails) through Blackboard Teacher Messaging. Your contact information in Infinite Campus must be accurate for you to receive my messages. Please contact the front office to update your information (770-382-3200).
