Mrs. Melissa Moore

Greetings!

My name is Melissa Moore, and I am in my 14th year at Cartersville High School. Prior to CHS, I worked at Chapel Hill High School and Banneker High School. I am originally from the beautiful state of Rhode Island but have lived in the South since I started college in 1986.  I have earned a BA in Art Education from Florida Southern College, a BA in History from Florida Atlantic University, and an MA and EDS in Curriculum and Leadership from Central Michigan University. 

I currently live in Euharlee with my husband, Todd, son, Andrew (KSU), and daughter, Molly (UGA). I am a true fan of music and adventure. You will often find me hiking, kayaking, going to concerts, or simply enjoying the outdoors with my family and dogs, Jake and Sadie. 

I presently serve as the AP US History and AP Art History teacher, Academic Team sponsor, Sources of Strength advisor, and assistant athletic director.

Being a member of the Hurricane family has been one of the most fulfilling adventures of my career! I am very blessed to work with some of the most amazing teachers and students I've had the pleasure of meeting! I am really looking forward to this year!! GO CANES!!
