Mrs. Carli LeJeune
Mrs. LeJeune is so excited about another year of drama at Cartersville High School. This is her fifth year of teaching, her second at CHS. Last year, the one-act competition show placed second with "Mind Games", the best they have performed in many years. In the past Mrs. LeJeune's teams have placed first at the region competition twice and 3rd at state in 2022.
Mrs. LeJeune has been involved in some kind of theatre since she was ten years old, working both on stage and behind the scenes. She has won awards for her directing and stage management. Additionally, she has music directed several shows including "Beauty and the Beast", "Jekyll and Hyde", "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" and more. She recently spent this past summer performing in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Oklahoma!" as Ado Annie.
Mrs. LeJeune obtained her Musical Theatre degree from Young Harris College in 2017 and then also received her Music Education (choral emphasis) degree from the same college in 2020. Through her classes, she hopes to create a space that is safe and inviting where students are free to explore all the differing aspects of theatre while also learning valuable time management skills, self-discipline, and confidence that will carry them through life.
It's going to be a great year to be part of Canes Theatre!
