To: CHS Juniors and Seniors who are attending the prom and families

We have been monitoring the weather for the last few days, and unfortunately, current weather models from the National Weather Service indicate the potential for inclement weather will be moving into our area earlier than expected this evening.

Based on this updated information, we are going to adjust the hours of the prom from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. We will keep the time the same for the Senior Walk. Seniors need to be at the prom by 7:00 p.m., and the Senior Walk will begin at 7:30 p.m. sharp. 

Prior to today, we held meetings with the staff at the Clarence Brown Conference Center and developed a safety plan in case we needed it, so a weather safety plan is in place for the prom. We are terribly sorry to adjust the time for tonight’s events, given students have their pre-prom arrangements in place, but we feel it is in the best interest of everyone’s personal safety to do so. If students need to cancel dinner reservations, please know our food catering vendors will have everything set up and ready to go at 5:00 p.m.

This message is being delivered to CHS Juniors and Seniors; please communicate with prom guests who are non-CHS students or not a junior or senior at CHS.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. While we want our students to enjoy their prom, we want to make sure we are putting measures in place to keep them safe.

•Date & Time: Prom will take place at the Clarence Brown Conference Center on March 15, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
•Senior Walk: The Senior Walk will begin at 7:30 PM, line up can begin at 6:45pm.
•Tickets: Tickets are $60 each and can be purchased online via My School Bucks. Deadline to buy tickets is Friday, March 7. Each ticket requires the name of the guest attending, and seniors must also provide the name of their senior escort for the Senior Walk.
•Eligibility: Tickets are available only to juniors and seniors, though underclassmen are welcome as dates.
•Guests: If you're bringing a non-CHS guest, you must submit a guest form, along with a copy of their ID, before prom. Forms are due to Mrs. Weaver by Friday, February 28, 2025.
•Age Limits: All attendees must be at least in 9th grade and no older than 20 years old.
