Mrs. Julie Merwanji

Welcome to Mrs. Merwanji's 4th grade ELA and social studies class at Cartersville Elementary School. This is my 8th year at CES and my 17th year in education. I am originally from Buffalo, New York, where I graduated from Buffalo State College with a degree in Business Studies. Knowing my true passion was to teach children, I attended Berry College where I received my teaching certification and a master's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2012. I have taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and this will be my first year in 4th grade. I have been married to my wonderful husband Zarir for almost 28 years. We have three amazing boys. Gabriel is a senior at UGA, Noah is a freshman at KSU, and Solomon is an 8th grader at CMS.  

Instructional Content can be assessed via Schoology or by contacting me personally.  We communicate with both students and parents (text messages, emails, and phone calls) through Teacher Messaging.  Your contact information in Powerschool MUST be accurate for you to receive messages.  Please contact the front office if you need to update any information. 

I am honored to be your child's teacher this year. It is going to be the best year yet!
