Mrs. Kate DeBoard

Welcome to 5th grade!  My name is Kate DeBoard and I have served Cartersville Elementary as both a classroom teacher and a special education teacher in fourth and fifth grades. I grew up in a small town in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education/Psychology from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY.  After graduation, I moved to Cartersville, where I began my teaching career, in 1998, right here at CES! I also hold a Master's degree in Special Education- Inclusive Education from Kennesaw State University.  

I am married to Brian, a Bartow County native, and together we have 4 grown children and 2 grandchildren. We enjoy life in the country with a variety of small farm animals as well as our 3 dogs.  My hobbies include reading, exercising, hiking and camping.
