Mrs. Kate DeBoard

Welcome to 4th grade!  My name is Kate DeBoard and over the past 24 years, I have taught fourth grade, both as a classroom teacher and a special education teacher.  I grew up in a small town in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education/Psychology from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY.  After graduation, I moved to Cartersville GA where I began my teaching career,in 1998, right here at CES! I also hold a Master's degree in Special Education- Inclusive Education from Kennesaw State University.  

I am married to Brian, a Bartow County native, and we have 4 children between us:  Ashton DeBoard (Cass High- c/o 2008) married to Keely, Hannah DeBoard (AHS c/o 2019), Benjamin Camara (CHS c/o 2021) and MaryKatharine Camara (WHS c/o 2023). We are looking forward to the addition of our first grandchild coming in October! We enjoy life in the country with a variety of small farm animals as well as our 2 dogs.  My hobbies include reading, exercising, hiking and camping.
