Michelle Burns

My name is Michelle Burns. This is my third year at CES!  This will be my 21st year teaching, and my 13th year in fifth grade. I graduated from Anderson University. I will be teaching math and science. I have taught 2nd, 5th and 7th grade over the span of my career. 

My husband Lance and I have 4 wonderful children that keep us busy.   Addi is in 11th grade and she plays softball, runs track and swims. Sofia is my 9th grade daughter, and she runs cross country, track and swims. Kaylee is a 7th grader, and she plays softball. Lincoln is a second grader, and he plays basketball and baseball. Needless to say, they keep me busy when I am not at work!

In my spare time, you can usually find me crafting and creating new things. My family loves to travel and see new places, and we often sneak away for bike rides or a quick weekend at the beach. 

Thank you so much for allowing me to teach your child this year! I look forward to learning as much from them as they do from me! Go Canes!
