Shannon Suarez

I was born and raised in New York.  I graduated from Monticello High School in 2003.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education in 2007 from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. In addition to my education at ESU, I played 4 years of collegiate softball.   In 2011, I received my master’s Degree in Physical Education, Coaching Pedagogy Concentration from SUNY Cortland.

Prior to coming to Cartersville, I taught Elementary Physical Education for 3 years and Middle School Health & Physical Education for 4 years in the Monticello Central School District in New York.  At Monticello, I coached multiple sports: Girls Varsity Softball, Girls JV Soccer and Varsity Track and Field.

In 2013, I moved to Cartersville.  I teach Physical Education at CES and Track & Field at Cartersville High School.

I enjoy reading, exercising, spending time outside and watching Netflix on rainy days. Spending time with family when I'm happiest.
