Mrs. Amanda Kemp

My name is Amanda Kemp! This year will be my 19th year in education, but my second year at Cartersville Elementary. My career path began with an undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State Univeristy in Early Childhood Education. Then, I completed a Masters' and Educational Specialist Degree at Jacksonville State University. Currently, I am pursuing my doctoral degree at Liberty University. In addition to my graduate degrees, I have added Reading, ESOL and Special Education Endorsements to my certificte.  I have taught every elementary grade except third grade.

As a lifelong resident of Cartersville, I am very excited to be part of the Canes Family! My husband, Shane and I have a daughter, Kaylee. She is a sophomore at Cartersville High School, and keeps us very busy with her afterschool activities (dance, theater and voice). When at home, our house is shared with our pet dogs, Jack and Mocha. My hobbies include traveling, volunteering and spending time with family and friends.

I am looking forward to an exceptional year working in fourth and fifth grade!
