Mrs. Shannon Armstrong

My name is Shannon Armstrong and I have been with Cartersville Elementary School for 13 years. I feel blessed to continue to teach alongside dedicated and wonderful teachers.  I am a native Cartersville resident, and a purple hurricane at heart. I have two wonderful boys ages 24 and 21 years old.  My oldest was recently married to my daughter-in-love, Gracie, and my youngest son is beginning his second year in college. I am newly married as well to Evan Armstrong, and I am blessed to have a stepdaughter and stepson that both attend Cartersville Schools. In my past time, I enjoy CrossFit, kayaking, hiking, and helping in the community.  I also enjoy traveling to interesting places, camping, and snowboarding.  I attended Kennesaw State University and received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.  In 2011, I completed my master’s degree at Georgia Southern University.  I enjoy working with children and helping them learn.  I believe that every child should be empowered with an education so that they can make a positive contribution to society. 

I am looking forward to another exceptional year in fifth grade!
