Cartersville Schools Technology Competition

Competition Guidelines:
- Students compete by grade levels:
- 3rd and 4th
- 5th and 6th
- 7th and 8th
- 9th and 10th
- 11th and 12th
- Students in grades 3-12 will compete at CES on Tuesday, December 6th.
- Judging will begin at 3:15 PM for 3rd - 4th grade projects - media center.
- Judging will begin at 4:00 PM for 5th - 12th grade projects - cafeteria.
- Students will need to provide their own transportation to CES.
- Parents are not allowed to be with the students during judging.
- Tri-boards are not allowed.
- Students will need to present their project to the judges and will be scored based on the state rubric for each category.

Students placing first in the Cartersville City School's Technology Competition will compete in the Northwest Regional Tech Competition on January 27, 2023, Northwest Georgia RESA. The competition will be held during the school day and we will take a bus to Georgia Highlands - Rome campus.

Rome, GA 30161Students who place first at the regional level competition will be allowed to compete in the State Technology Competition held in Macon on March 11, 2023. Cartersville City Schools will not provide transportation to this event. Students will need to provide their own transportation to the state-level competition.
Students placing 1st in the State-Level Technology Competition will compete in May against students from Alabama who won first place in their State-Level Technology Competition.
