It's great to be a Cane!! 

I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a product and now a teacher in the Cartersville City School System.  I have lived in Cartersville all my life, and there is no place I'd rather be!  I graduated from Cartersville High School in 2000, and went on to attend college.  I attended Auburn University, (WAR EAGLE!) and I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.  After graduating, I was offered a job with Auburn City Schools, but I wanted to return home to give back to the community that lovingly poured so much into me, thus beginning my career as an educator. 

This is my 20th year at Cartersville Elementary School.  Eight of those years were spent teaching fifth grade, and six of those years were spent in third grade.  During those years, I decided to continue my education, and I have since earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education and an Educational Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. 

I have since transitioned into an EIP position, and this is my sixth year in EIP!  I am more excited than ever to continue to grow my craft as a Math EIP teacher!  I am servicing grades four and five in Math, and what wonderful mathematicians my students will be!  I look forward to having all of your sweet kiddos in my class, and the best is yet to come!
