I am very excited to be a part of the CES family! My teaching career began in Decatur, Alabama, where I taught mathematics and coached cheerleading. Five years later, we moved to Georgia, where I continued to both teach mathematics and coach cheerleading. Later, I transitioned to an instructional coach position for two years, followed by working with the Georgia Department of Education as an Evaluation System Specialist. During my early years of teaching, I also spent my summers working with both students and educators at Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. I've been with the Cartersville School System since 2015, first as an assistant principal at Cartersville Elementary School, and now school principal.
I graduated from Tri City High School in Blue Springs, Missouri and received my undergraduate degree from Cedarville University in Ohio. I completed my masters degree in educational leadership at Kennesaw State University.
My husband, Bill, and I are the proud parents of two boys, Brenden and Bennett. I am excited to have my own children be a part of the Cartersville family. We enjoy camping, caving, hiking, and most anything outdoors!
I'm looking forward to investing in our community and your students! Go Canes!
