Cartersville Virtual Academy (CVA)
Cartersville Virtual Academy (CVA) offers students and families the flexibility of online learning while maintaining the structure, rigor, and sense of community found in traditional schools. CVA is not a separate school or entity—it's an extension of each Cartersville City Schools site. Whether you’re a 10th-grade student or in elementary school, enrollment in CVA means you're still fully part of your home school and, most importantly, still a proud Purple Hurricane!

Application Window Now Open
The Cartersville Virtual Academy is now accepting applications for students in grades 6-12 for the 2026–2027 school year!
Ready to apply? Access the application here and submit by April 24.
Admission Information
Admission to CVA for the 2026–27 school year is determined through an application process. While an online learning environment can be highly beneficial for some students, it may not align with every child’s learning needs or style. Our team will review applications from interested students and families to evaluate each applicant’s readiness and potential for success in an online setting.
Applications for students entering grades 6–12 will be reviewed in the order they are received. Following the close of the application window, families will be informed of their application status after all submissions have been reviewed.
Families of primary and elementary students who are interested in CVA should contact their child’s school directly for more information.
What is CVA?
CVA is an online educational program designed to meet the needs of students who complete their schoolwork in a virtual environment. Students have the flexibility to complete their work at-home, earn grades, and receive timely feedback from teachers on their assignments.
