Hello, my name is Ruthie C. Jones and I am an ESOL Teacher at Cartersville Primary School.  I am starting my 28th year of teaching.  Prior to the start of my teaching career, I worked for the City of Cartersville as a Court Officer and Secretary to the City Clerk.  In the past years I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and my current position as an ESOL Teacher.  I am enjoying my life as an educator and doing what I love and that is teaching kids!  I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Troy University in 1984 in Broadcast Journalism and Criminal Corrections.  I went on to obtain my Teaching Certification from the University of West Georgia and my Masters of Administration from Jacksonville State University.  My husband James who is a retired Cartersville City Schools Teacher/Coach and I have three adult children who were all educated in the Cartersville City School System. In my spare time I enjoy, spending time with my family, being involved in community service, exercising, traveling and reading.
