Mrs. Lisa Archer

Welcome to First Grade!  My name is Lisa Archer and I am excited to be your child's teacher this school year. I graduated from Reinhardt College with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education as well as a  Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Piedmont University.  I have completed endorsements in Reading as well as Dyslexia.   This is my 21st year in education, and 16 of those years have been with Cartersville City Schools.  Prior to teaching at Cartersville Primary School, I taught in Cherokee County where I received the honor of being selected as Teacher of the Year at Buffington Elementary.   In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, watching my son Evan play various sports, and reading. I spend a lot of time volunteering with various organizations in the community.

First Grade is an exciting time of growth and development for your child.  First graders work hard and make great strides in their academic achievements.  I love developing strong relationships with my students and their families, so I look forward to getting to know everyone through the year.  I often tell parents that children are like popcorn.  You use the same pot and the same oil, but the kernels do not all pop at the same time.  We will celebrate the accomplishments of your child and develop goals that are specific to them and their needs.

Communication between home and school are essential to your child's success.  I can be reached by phone at (770)382-1733, email at, or a note in your child's daily folder. Clear and effective communication is essential for your child to have the best school experience.

I am proud to be a part of the first grade team at CPS, and I look forward to working with your child and helping them accomplish goals that are on a personal and academic level.
