• Dear CPS Families,

Beginning Monday, Aug. 5, Cartersville Primary School students are welcome to ride a morning shuttle bus to CPS. Open to all CPS students, both those who live within the city limit boundaries and students who attend CPS as-out-of-district students, the shuttle is intended to reduce traffic at the intersection Old Alabama Rd. and Douthit Ferry Rd. The drop off location is Cartersville First Baptist Church parking lot located at 241 Douthit Ferry Road. Participating students will be dropped off by their families at the church and then will load the shuttle bus at approximately 6:45 - 6:55 a.m., with a departure time of 6:55 a.m. The bus will travel to Cartersville Elementary School to pick up students of CCS employees and then proceed to CPS.

Especially if you are not currently riding a school bus, we ask that you consider whether this option would be beneficial to your family and commute time. If enough families take advantage of this opportunity, we feel this will positively impact on our current morning traffic congestion. If there is enough interest, and it does reduce our morning traffic flow, we intend to offer this opportunity until the Old Alabama project is completed.

We are working hard to provide innovative solutions to ensure our families and community are positively impacted by CCS! If you are interested, we will see you at Cartersville First Baptist Church on Monday morning.

    Sincerely,

    Cheree Dye
