Ms. Maggie Smith

Welcome to 5th grade!

I'm thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I was born and raised here in Cartersville. I attended Cartersville City Schools Kindergarten through 12th grade, and graduated from CHS in 2019. After high school, I attended Kennesaw State University, graduating in 2023 with a B.S. in Elementary Education (K-5) along with my ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) endorsement.

Outside of school, I enjoy taking my dog Tillie on walks and hikes, reading a good book, playing pickleball with friends, and spending time with my family!

Our classroom is centered around creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. I have a strong connection to the community and teachers that raised me, and I am so grateful to now be able to pour into my own students just like I had. I can't wait for all the learning and growing that will take place this year!
