Mrs. Amber Holley

Hello Canes friends and family!

I'm Amber Holley, your Cartersville Middle School Speech-Language Pathologist. I provide intervention and support to our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students and teachers. My approach to intervention and support is to help students recognize, develop, monitor, and achieve their own goals in speech and communication that will have a lasting and meaningful impact on their life and interactions with others. My style involves interactive, imaginative, and fun projects that integrate physical activities with creative processes and academic content. In addition to helping students achieve their speech and language goals, I also work to support teachers inside and outside the classroom to implement effective strategies and understand the complexities of evolving speech and language skills.

I've been a speech-language pathologist for 13 years. I spent the first 7 years of my career providing speech-language services at the elementary school level in Cobb County, Ga, and another 5 years providing speech therapy across all ages while directing the student support services program at North Cobb Christian School. I've spent the past year doing private practice speech therapy and managing Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu in Cartersville. This school year when I'm not busy helping our kids grow and thrive at the middle school, you'll find me either managing the Jiu-Jitsu gym or training in kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu 5-6 days a week.

Personally, I've been married for 10 years this October, 2022 to Stephen Holley. We moved to Cartersville about 4 years ago and fell in love immediately! I'm both a dog mom and a step-grandma to two beautiful girls. My dog, Alba, will be 10 years old next year, and she speaks using talking buttons! Right now she can say, "Walk," "Play," "Treat," "Outside," "Love," and "More."
