Mrs. Sara Hersch

Welcome to Fifth grade! I am so excited to have your child in my classroom! I believe that every child is capable of learning and being successful. My goal for this year is to help your child to be an independent and responsible learner, as well as, to show him or her how to make responsible choices. To accomplish this, I strive to use a variety of hands on learning to continue to engage and challenge students!

Let me take a moment to introduce myself!  As a Georgia native, I completed my Undergraduate and Masters degree at the University of West Georgia (Go Wolves!). After completing my undergraduate degree, I moved back to Cobb County to begin my teaching career, where I taught third grade for five years. For the last four years,I taught fourth grade in Gwinnett County. This year will be my eleventh year in education!

My husband and I moved back to the Cartersville area last year and I am so excited to be a Purple Hurricane! It’s going to be a great year in fifth grade!
