B.A in Theatre from Columbus State University
Ms. Bethany Moody
Bethany Moody is the Theatre Arts Teacher at Cartersville High School. She graduated in May of 2020 from Columbus State University with a B.A. in Theatre. Ms. Moody has worked in the field for over three years, and in various different theatres. She has worn many different hats: director and stage manager to actor, sound designer and props master. Now it is time for her to put on her favorite hat yet... TEACHER!
The 2022- 2023 school year is her first time teaching in a traditional setting, and she could not be more excited! Ms. Moody teaches a Fundamentals of Theatre class, along with Musical and Technical Theatre classes. All of the classes will be filled with fun projects and energetic class discussion! This year, students will be presented with fun field trip opportunities as well as working with Cartersville's own Grand Theatre through their outreach program.
The Theatre Department is doing four shows this season, and they will all be directed by Ms. Moody. Participants in the after-school program will have opportunities to audition for musicals and straight-plays, work as a designer, and on a back stage crew. The first show up in the season is part of the GHSA One-Act Competition, where students get the opportunity to compete against schools in our region. It is going to be a great season!
Ms. Moody is so excited about this year and hopes that you are too!
