    Purpose of Title I

    • 40% Free and Reduced Lunch
    • All Elementary and Middle Schools in Cartersville and Bartow County.
    • To help academically or monetarily disadvantaged students meet state academic standards
    • Include neglected, migrant, & homeless
    • Money is used to provide services over and above that of a non Title I school.
    • Title I money can be used in the areas of Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies

    2019-2020 School Goals

    • Cartersville Middle School will increase the percentage of students achieving at the proficient and distinguished level in ELA based on the statewide end of grade assessment by 3% per grade level during the 2019-2020 school year
    • Cartersville Middle School will increase the percentage of students achieving at the proficient and distinguished level in math based on the statewide end of grade/end of course assessment by 3% per grade level during the 2019-2020 school year
    • In order to improve overall school climate and the effectiveness of instruction a school wide professional development series will provided with a minimum of 85% staff attendance during the 2019-2020 school year.
