Mrs. Emily Mulkey

I am very excited to begin my third year teaching at Cartersville Elementary School! Although I am not originally from Cartersville, I feel that this is my home, and I am eager to get more involved with the community here. I am from Rome and graduated from Rome High School in 2014. I completed my Bachelor's degree at Kennesaw State University with endorsements in Reading and ESOL.

I believe that teaching is the most important calling in the world and that any student can learn, grow, and thrive when they are taught with compassion and genuine care. In my classroom, I want students to feel comfortable enough to learn to the best of their ability, and my goal is to create an environment in which they can do that. 

When I am not teaching, I love to spend all my time with my family. My husband, Daniel, and I have a precious baby boy named Jacob. He is full of life and keeps us on our toes! 

I am looking forward to an amazing year at Cartersville Elementary! Go Canes!
