Financial Services

Welcome to the Department of Financial Services

Our office works to ensure the efficient management and further development of the financial resources of Cartersville City Schools.  Through budget development, employee payroll, SPLOST collections, Requests For Proposals (RFPs), purchasing, and internal audits, the finance department provides operational services to support CCS in fulfilling its vision of Building Legacies - One Student at a Time.

We aim to obtain and provide high quality products and services utilizing the most cost effective, professional, and ethical procurement practices to support and meet the needs of CCS. HB 581

HB 581 provides for a statewide floating homestead exemption which applies to counties, cities and school districts and limits the increase in the taxable value for residential properties to the rate of inflation. The law, which  took effect January 1, 2025, provided an opt-out process.
