Welcome to the Assessment Department

 Fulfilling a crucial role in our educational system, the Assessment Department oversees and manages various local, state, and national student assessments, ensuring that test security and testing policies comply with current state assessment rules and regulations. Our goal is to evaluate student performance according to the state-mandated curriculum, identify students who haven't achieved content mastery, provide teachers with diagnostic insights, and help school systems recognize strengths and areas needing improvement for better educational program planning.

We also understand the limitations of a "compliance accountability" culture in building a successful learning organization. Recognizing that a student's score on any single state-mandated assessment is just a small part of their overall data story, we have designed a system that uses multiple screeners, adaptive assessments, and common formative/summative assessments. This comprehensive approach helps us better understand and meet individual student needs.
