Awarded for Innovation and Excellence
The Georgia School Board Association recently recognized Cartersville City School Board for its innovation and excellence. The board earned the Georgia School Boards Association’s 2024 Exemplary School Board recognition, designed to showcase best practices in school governance and leadership. The GSBA Board Recognition Program is a three-tier process to achieve the highest level of board governance. The three recognition levels are Quality, Distinguished, and Exemplary, with Exemplary being the highest level.
Thank you for your interest in the Board of Education for Cartersville City Schools. The primary role of the BOE is to oversee the annual budget, set school policies and work in partnership with the superintendent. Feedback and the voices of community members play an integral role in our work.
