Out of District

We appreciate your interest in joining Cartersville City Schools. CCS accepts a limited number of students based on availability of space as well as the applicant's grades, attendance, and behavior. Tuition is $300 per student, per school year.

Out-of-district applications are submitted to the school where the student is applying.

Procedures

CCS Student Moves OOD

If you are a current student and have moved out of the Cartersville City School district, you must click here to complete an Application for Non-Resident Enrollment. (Spanish Application) This must be completed immediately upon your relocation and submitted to the school in which each student is enrolled. The school will notify applicants regarding their approval status. If approved, tuition is due immediately at the school board office located at 15 Nelson Street. Currently, cash, check or money order is accepted for payment.

OOD Student Application

To apply as an OOD student for the CURRENT school year, please follow the steps below. To apply as an OOD student for the FOLLOWING school year, please use this process in the Spring when the application window opens.

The school will notify applicants regarding their approval status.

Step 1

OBTAIN NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

Most recent attendance record(s)
Most recent school discipline record(s)
Most recent school report card(s) and most recent transcript (High School)
Most recent assessment scores (for example: Georgia Milestones, End-Of-Course, etc.)

Step 2

SUBMIT NON-RESIDENT APPLICATION AND DOCUMENTS

The Application for Non-Resident Enrollment (Spanish Application) along with supporting documents should be submitted to the school where the student is applying. Locations are listed under the Contact Us section of this web page.

Steps After Acceptance

The school will notify applicants regarding their approval status. Please complete the following steps after receiving notification that your student has been accepted as an Out-of-District student.

Step 1

PAY TUITION

Upon approval, tuition can be paid at the school board office located at 15 Nelson Street. The cost to attend is $300 per student, per year. Currently, checks, money orders and cash are accepted for payment.

Step 2

GATHER NECESSARY DOCUMENTS

Proof of Residency

Two forms of Proof of Residency are required.
One or both parents/guardians must be listed on Proof #1 and Proof #2.
If you are living with someone, you must submit an affidavit of residency plus two (2) printed forms of Proof of Residency in that person’s name.

mortgage statement, deed, lease, rental agreement, property tax statement

City of Cartersville utility bill, power bill, water bill, gas bill

Tuition Details for Recurring OOD Students

Recurring Out-of-District students are not required to apply each school year. All students who have been approved to remain as Out-of-District students will receive a tuition invoice and non-resident contract which will be mailed by the end of April. Tuition is due by July 17 for the upcoming school year. Recurring students have the option to pay through their MySchoolBucks account as well as cash, check or money order at the school board office located at 15 Nelson Street.
