Enhancing educational opportunities in Cartersville City Schools so every student is successful and prepared for life after high school, whether they attend college, obtain technical training, or enter the military or workforce.
Who We Are
Chartered in 1995, the Cartersville Schools Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation created for the purpose of promoting educational achievement and excellence in the City of Cartersville's public schools. The original goal of the Foundation was to provide funding for classroom grants and assist in teacher recognition. Today, the Foundation provides funding for projects and programs designed to enhance the educational experience of students and educators, which cannot be funded with tax monies, and provides needs-based scholarships to students as early as the 6th grade.

Our Board
The Cartersville Schools Foundation is a group of business and community leaders who work together to improve and enhance educational opportunities in the Cartersville City Schools. This is done through the oversight of programs to improve students performance and raising funds for scholarships and teacher and staff support.

What We Do

GateKey Scholarship
Prepares students to attend college through mentoring and college-prep assistance. GateKey provides up to $7,500.

REACH Georgia Scholarship
Pairs rising 8th graders (Scholars) with a mentor and are awarded up to $10,000.

Community Scholarships
Provides an avenue for local, community-based scholarships to be dispersed.

Teacher of the Year
Recognizing one teacher at each school, the TOY program celebrates outstanding educators.

Fiscal Agent Programs
The Cartersville Schools Foundation serves as fiscal agent for student support programs.

Employee of the Year
Celebrating excellent service, the program honors our Support Staff Employee of the Year in each department.
