Exceptions

Any exception to the one-half (½) mile eligibility for primary and elementary students and the one (1) mile eligibility for middle and high school students should be based on the existence of one of three hazards, which are a river, a bridge with no sidewalks or a major highway. The one-half (½) mile eligibility for primary and elementary students and the one (1) mile eligibility for middle and high school students will not apply to Special Needs students that require bus transportation.
